Regarding new vs. preowned, it is always worth checking http://www.best-game-price.co.uk/ before buying a game, there are often some great deals out there and people like zavvi, game, play hmv, the hut, gameplay, gamestation and choices UK all do Quidco to boot.
Mrs T. got fed up with waiting for me to get a new iPhone so she could have my old one so we went out the weekend before last and got her an HTC Desire (she is on T-Mobile).
On the whole a pretty impressive piece of kit. It doesn't feel as friendly as the iPhone, although being some 20+ months newer than my 3G it does have a newer / sharper feel to it.
It is very fast and responsive. I was impressed with google navigate.
The integration with Google Mail is good and the ability to link contacts to facebook is useful if people are sharing up-to-date contact info on facebook.
I wasn't impressed with the facebook app or the twitter client, although for the latter I assume there are better options available via the marketplace.
She has already been heard to say that it is better than my iPhone!!!
Nice website. Cheers for the link.
Some of the new Android announcements this week were excellent. Really taking it to Apple. Will be covered in next week's podcast, already titled, the one before the iPad launch.
