In response to your rant about the new Macbook, I'd like to point out that the 13.3″ Macbook Pro also only has the single combined audio input/output.

Podcast Gold this week. Particularly liked Chris denying a little to strongly that it takes him too days to get downstairs…

Well, that is also shagged then! Didn't say also that the Macbook doesn't come with an SD slot (another 2p component), doesn't support FireWire (wtf?) and doesn't work with the old remotes. Just seems that they felt they had to differentiate this product from the Pro and did it in basic functionality crippling ways.

I thought Chris was gonna use the Tracey Barlow excuse for taking days to make it downstairs at one stage, podcast gold indeed!

Uncharted 2 is indeed one of the games of the year with a movie like script with a lot of amusing moments, superb use of 5.1/7.1 audio and amazing graphics… I spent ages admiring the amount of graphical detail and distance draw.

The only downside is that it only takes between 10-12 hours to finish the game and that's including watching all of the cut scenes and the online seems to be a bit of a mess so far so longevity maybe a problem for some people.

I'm thinking he never makes it downstairs. Tesco home shopping FTW, delivered via a ladder.

Uncharted being that length sounds pretty good – rather have a great 10-12 hours than a good 20-25 especially. Mess best describes the online demo when I played it. High rankers who had all the weapons and knew the maps against first timers. Awful. Still, always felt the multiplayer looked good but was a bit tacked on. Roll on Modern Warfare 2.

Thanks a lot guys. Everybody on the train during my morning commute now thinks I am some sort of deranged lunatic due to the fact that I kept laughing out loud whilst listening to episode 21. This is by far the funniest episode so far.

I agree it sucks but you can use a USB Microphone or speakers or hedset.

Or something like http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic/

Official fanboy comment! And it's not from Shak. The Peterborough Apple mafia strike again.

Notice how Ian always manage to hide his own Apple fanboy feelings by using me as a shield ;-)

Good point about the short play time compared to the average, which would leave most gamers wanting more.

For me though, this is pretty good. I really struggle to find game time, so hopefully I will eventually manage to enjoy and complete this, instead of getting bored and not finishing it like I have done with many other excellent games. I have a short attention span and get bored easily :-D

Mighty mouse has arrived and it really is a thing of beauty. The packaging is sublime. Pairing it up was very straight forward (I installed the update yesterday in anticipation). I really like it. Left and right clicks work well. The scrolling around is excellent and very intuitive, it is so much simpler than with a wheel and very to go up, down, left, right, diagonal (I had never used a Mighty Mouse so don't know what the ball was like). You can do the swipe gesture without lifting your hand off but it will take time to perfect. The only place I have found to use it so far is in Safari to browse backwards and forwards through the pages you have visited. I was using the thumb scroll wheel on my Logitech to access “all windows” and “dashboard” so I have had to configure expose to replace that. It doesn't fell uncomfortable in the hand but doesn't fell as comfortable as the Logitech, again I think that will come with time. On the whole really impressed.

Thanks for the feedback Tam. I'm now tempted …
At the moment it's between this and the new Logitech MX Revolution (the newest model)

Forgot to mention that if you hold down the crtl key and scroll up and down you can zoom in on the screen. What's with the holding down the ctrl key? I'm sure they could recognise a pinch in and out.
